The history of human kind is made of infinite series of migrations, moved by the infinite research of new territories, with less hostility, more rich and fertile.
Whoever decide to start a journey bring with them experiences, dreams, hopes, all creating an idealised image of the yearned-for destination. This ideal destination is inspired by tales, suggestions that might be told by medias and by those who emigated in the past.
These hopes are generated by words and stories coming from distant lands, where everything seems easier and beautiful and the travel doesn’t seem as dangerous as it really is.
The spaces are shortened but the borders, and we are talking about cultural, human and social borders, are becoming more and more harsh. Thousand of people are getting overpowered and rejected from a continent that has already become a real fortress.
Cross the border aims at recreating the experiences of the thousand of people that are dreaming for a better future. Racism and indifference, solidarity and participation. Stories about those who finally reached their dreams and stories about those who lost everything.
